April 21, 2025 (Virtual): Irish American Heritage Museum (Albany, NY). In October 1919 US Sen. John Sharp Williams attacked the Irish character in a widely reported speech. Michael J. O’Brien of the American Irish Historical Society was drafted to make the reply on behalf of Irish immigrants.
March 17, 2025: St. Patrick’s Day interview with FOX 8 News Now, Johnstown, Pa., about several aspects of my Irish ancestry and historical research. Four segments, about 5 minutes each:

March 25, 2023: Nieman Foundation for Journalism, Cambridge, Mass. “Why I Do What I Do.” This 30-minute presentation about my career in journalism and Irish history research was made available to me as the “affiliate” of a Nieman fellow, my wife.
