Thank you for reading!

March was a record month for the blog, with visitor traffic up 13 percent over the previous high in December, when I post my annual Best of the Blog. The combination of St. Patrick’s Day and the 1916 Easter Rising centennial certainly helped, including my series on U.S.- Irish relations. I also offered stories about U.S. Ambassador to Ireland Kevin F. O’Malley, Irish historian Joe Lee, and the 1888 shipwreck of the ‘Alfred D. Snow‘ off the coast of Wexford.

shamrockInterest in the blog is steadily trending upward. Total visitors during the first three months of this year surpassed the last five months of 2015. Average monthly traffic is up 76 percent.

Sure, the numbers behind the percentages are still small compared to mainstream websites. But email subscribers are also growing, and I’ve been hearing from more readers via email and @markieam.

So thanks again for reading. Your support is most appreciated.
